| Beautiful
day, great venue, entertaining and inspiring presentation,
and decadent chocolate pears – what a spectacular
luncheon! It was the kind of event tailor-made
for your best customer – our members and guests.
The
October Luncheon began with a reception in the
garden, where guests mingled while a harpist played
and servers passed wine and delicious hors d’oeurves.
Next, we moved inside to the Auditorium where
Nick Irons, author of Swim Lessons – Secrets
from the Mississippi, inspired us to pursue
our wildest dreams by talking about his 1500 mile
swim down the Mississippi River in 1997 to raise
money for MS research, in honor of his father.
Feeling inspired to conquer the world, we, then,
followed the balloon path to a big tent, set amidst
beautiful gardens, and enjoyed a wonderful fall-themed
lunch while continuing to network with our colleagues.

Thank
you to our generous contributors, for whom without
the ISES DC chapter could never produce such spectacular
events. Members, please show your appreciation
