Trends in Pairing Wine with Food
It
was a great evening for a beautiful reception
in The St. Regis Hotel courtyard. After the long
summer months, ISES DC members were anxious to
network with friends, swap stories, and share
business ideas. But that was only the start to
a carefully orchestrated and superbly executed
event. Once inside, guests were treated to a surprise
celebration, recognition of our well-deserved
ISES International ‘Chapter of the Year’ award
as well as ‘Excellence in Programming and Education’
and ‘Excellence in Membership Recruitment’. It
was the perfect segue into launching our 2004-2005
program year, starting with a ‘New Trends in Wine
Pairing with Food’ seminar hosted by Daniel Mahdavian
from The St. Regis Hotel and Thom Horsey from
Robert Mondavi. Guests enjoyed a wonderful variety
of wines expertly paired with course after course
of risotto, duck, tuna and lamb, while learning
how to creatively pair wine with food.
