ISES DC hosted its annual summer picnic on Sunday afternoon, June 5 at the Dulles Golf Park and Sports Center. Despite the warm weather, guests enjoyed a great outdoor party. Under a huge tent, they feasted on tasty pulled chicken BBQ sandwiches, yummy side dishes and strawberry shortcakes provided by Chesapeake & Blue Ridge Grilling Company, as well as ice cream bars from Ice Cream Catering and fruit smoothies and iced coffee from Smoothie Time. In between food and drinks, guests – young and old – enjoyed the fun rides provided by Entertainment Connection. There were whirly bird and colorful, spinning tea tub rides, plus a carousel moon bounce and tattoos. And not too far from our tent was miniature golf, batting cages, volleyball pits and a golf range provided by Dulles Golf Park and Sports Center.

The 2005-2006 ISES DC Board of Directors was also installed, sworn in by Dale Harmon of Plants Alive!, our ISES President, and outgoing ISES DC President, Carol Nissenson, was inducted to the President’s Circle.
