On
Thursday, November 10, ISES DC hosted its EXPO, Hot
Ideas for Cool Events, at the US Chamber of Commerce
in Washington, DC. Over 400 event, meeting and hospitality
professionals attended the annual business event,
and enjoyed complimentary educational sessions, courtesy
of the Event Management Certificate Program at Stratford
University, and the opportunity to meet the area’s
best suppliers of event ‘hot ideas.’ Michael Cerbelli,
creative director of Total Entertainment, kicked off
the EXPO with a fast-paced, high energy presentation
on ’21 Hot Event and Entertainment Ideas, one of which
was using high impact show-stoppers, like the Dancing
Heads entertainment now offered by Cast of Thousands
and seen on the EXPO floor. Not to be overlooked was
a final reminder to slow down and enjoy time with
family and friends. Other educational sessions included
trends on advanced topics like Event Marketing, Event
Protocol, Event Décor and Design and Event
Entertainment and Production.
On
the EXPO floor, over 50 exhibitors displayed innovative
ideas to enhance any event, some even provided attendees
with a unique opportunity to experience their products
and services. From specialty lighting and ultra-modern
furniture to diverse collections of rental items and
tenting options, not to mention valet service, catering,
entertainment, film and video, and post-event surveys,
our exhibitors inspired our attendees to take their
events – whether it be a gala, meeting, wedding, fundraiser,
you name it – as well as their business and career,
to the next creative and professional level.
