In Full Swing

If there was any doubt that the fall event season was
in full swing, you could see it in the branches of the
centerpiece design on the table in the middle of Love
Nightclub’s second floor. That entire space served
as a dinner buffet and dining area as well as a massive
open floor for members to discuss business, trends and
captivating speaker of the evening, Scott Ginsberg.
Recently
inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records, Scott
spoke on the power of approachability. What is approachability?
Certainly it is something we all in this industry should
have a great sense of. How easy is it for someone to
walk up to you and start a conversation? What kind of
first impression do you make? How long do you have to
make that all important first impression? Scott discussed
all of this to a captivated audience of over 150. I
think I speak for all when I say we each learned a bit
we didn’t know about some of our colleagues. And
why was it that Scott was inducted into the Guinness
Book of World Records you ask? The answer was obvious
to all who attended.
Scott has been wearing a name tag for over three years.
Yes, that’s right. A nice, big, hello my name
is SCOTT name tag. And what, you may ask; does he do
at the beach? Well he simply had his name tag tattooed
to his chest. Don’t believe me? Check out the
pictures of the event!
Prior
to engaging with Scott, guests gathered on the third
floor of the recently redecorated LOVE Nightclub. The
feeling some members had was reminiscent of being in
Hawaii less than a month ago for Eventworld where several
of our members were honored with award nominations.
As fare was passed and drinks consumed, guests mixed
and mingled with friends and networked their way into
the new ISES year. A unique venue allowed for one of
our Entertainment Companies to spin tunes during the
cocktail reception. Thank you to Chris Laich for supplying
our DJ.
Moving
back to the second floor, guests enjoyed a fantastic
dinner complete with carving stations, salmon, pasta
and a personal favorite chipotle orange marmalade chicken.
The food, provided by LOVE, added a bit of spice to
the evening. The room was made complete by the collaboration
of Curtis Lee Moore of Capital Party Rentals and David
Millspaugh of David Millspaugh Designs, who dressed
and decorated our tables in vibrant shades of red, crimson
and orange. Yes, we truly started the new year out with
a party, and for what better reason but to celebrate
the success of our chapter as a whole and our extraordinary
members over the past year.
