Walls draped in red and black fabric, crystals and boas dripping from 30 chandeliers, feather handcuffs, mirrors and rhinestones strewn throughout the event space - "An Evening of Decadence" awaits you! The ISES 12th Annual Capital Awards Gala theme is a tasteful and entertaining interpretation of Moulin Rouge meeting the Crazy Horse Saloon in Paris. Elegance and rich abandon will envelope the entire Woodmont Country Club for guests' enjoyment.

The ISES DC community will honor the best of the best of the special events industry in the year's most spectacular demonstration of the creativity and professionalism of our members. This year we received 109 entries - the highest number ever submitted! Click here for a list of this year's nominees.

The Awards committee will be debuting the first ISES Lifetime Achievement Award for our chapter as well. Rita Bloom, Creative Parties, Ltd., has been selected as this year's award recipient based on her longtime contributions to ISES and the community.

As an added twist on the format, awards will be presented in between dinner courses. Top restaurants in the area will offer samplings of their fare and the chefs of the Woodmont are busily planning a feast for guests. Specialty foods and liquors will be featured as well.

Entertainment will surprise and delight guests with four acts offered between the award presentations, all designed to heighten anticipation for the next. Custom designed décor, linens, florals, ice sculptures and accent pieces will be featured in each theme room, including the Ballroom for dancing after the awards ceremony.
