ISES DC celebrated its 21st Birthday with a fabulous bash at the Park on 14th. About 175 members and guests mingled at the trendy restaurant/lounge and enjoyed a beer pairing demonstration from Beer Master Greg Engert of Rustico Restaurant in Alexandria. Newbies got the 411 at ISES 101, presented by President Elect June Ring.

Emperors Brand Vodka-sponsored cocktails
were served with plenty of fanfare by
bartender Jonas. On the drink menu: an
Emperors Martini, a crisp version of
a Cosmopolitan; the Invisible Chocolate
Martini shaken with White Crème de Cacao;
and the favorite of the night, the Peach
Pie Martini with a cinnamon sugar rim
that tasted like pie crust!
Food galore! Guests took ample opportunity to stroll by the various serving stations for additional helpings. The carving station with filet mignon, complemented with insalata caprese, and the blackened salmon served with a colorful bean salad, were a hit as well as the pasta station with its light tortellini carbonara, pesto penne and fresh seafood linguini.
The much loved dessert station flaunted
a fresh berry assortment, classic bread
pudding and decadent mini chocolate soufflés.
A culinary treat indeed!
Guests danced away to the spinning sound of the Club DJ. Catching up with swinging ISES DC President Renee Stake, Marketing Events manager for Troutman Sanders LLP, revealed that she is excited to kick off the new ISES year and looks forward to many more bashes and great networking events.
Now that ISES DC turned 21, we are well on our way to celebrating our 25th anniversary with a silver splash!
