New Trends/New Way to View Them

With the wedding season upon us there are several new trends we've seen for this summer and fall. Heidi from AFR Room Service noted that orange and tangerine colors are coming back. There is an overall trend toward more vibrant colors such as Jimmy Choo's newest Vibrant blue and neon lavender shoes.

Brides are wearing white less often. We've seen a lot of antique colored gowns such as Vera Wang's 2012 fall collection Vera Wang's fall collection.
There is a lot of mix and match of bridesmaid dresses such as the wedding pictured in Pinterest Pinterest's 2012 wedding-trends article.

Vintage glamor is still very popular with today's Brides and having abundant groupings of small flowers to give the appearance of opulence is also on the rise. Today's florist are seeing fewer Brides looking at traditional flowers such as roses and carnations in favor of everything from wildflowers to tropical bouquets.  Fur and feathers are back for the Bride with a wild side.

The two biggest trends we're seeing this year is that each wedding is unique and individualized according to the Bride and Groom's interests and taste and that couples are incorporating family and traditions into their ceremonies. Even invitations are individualized. A favorite website of Bride's who like in a hands-on approach to their wedding is Etsy weddings. This site can give Brides lots of ideas for unique and special touches for their wedding. And even though it's only a couple months old, Brides are going crazy with Pinterest/. This is an online pinboard where customers can search for ideas and vendors while organizing themselves as they plan their weddings. I would encourage ISES members to check out this sight and see how you can use Pinterest to either gain exposure or share ideas with your customers online and visually.

One thing's for sure, this year promises to be unique with no two weddings being the same. I wish you all an exciting and prosperous 2012 wedding season.
