Bowie Baysox vs. the Portland Seadogs

The ISES DC Chapter had its first successful event of the season on Tuesday night, July 22, at the Bowie Baysox! Our group of members and their guests came out to watch an exciting ballgame (the Baysox won 5-3) and network, and we had a really great time. For instance, Marty Janis, Atlantic Valet and past president, threw out the first pitch and got it right in the pitcher's mit! Then, Carol Nissenson (aka "Pipes"), NOW THIS! and president-elect, sang a moving rendition of The National Anthem accompanied by some awesome pyro compliments of Denis O'Regan, Fireworks Concepts. In between, members like Carey Hargrove of Hargrove III Events and Stephanie Lamm of NADA chatted about new business and a promising fall season; Mitch Rotker, SmoothieTime and treasurer, met and received the autograph of Baysox pitcher, Rodney Ormond; and the event ladies from VeriSign convened at the game in the spirit of team building!

In addition to the above mentioned contributors, we would like to thank Dale Harmon of Plants Alive for the beautiful sunflower centerpieces, Donna Johnson of Gala Cloths by Dulany for the novelty linens, Larry Glatt of Larry Glatt Photography for the pictures and the Bowie Baysox for hosting and feeding our ISES guests.
