Celebrate ISES DC’s 21st Birthday at the Park on 14th, a restaurant, lounge, and event space on four floors overlooking Franklin Square in Downtown, Washington DC. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres complimented by beer pairing demonstrations from Greg Engert – Beer Master from the Rustico Restaurant in Alexandria.
In 2006, Greg Engert became the beer director for Rustico, located in Alexandria, Virginia. He develops and manages the extensive beverage program for the 130 seat restaurant and bar, which includes over 300 bottles, 30 drafts and 1 cask conditioned ale. In this position, Engert works closely with Executive Chef Frank Morales to develop food and beer pairings. Most recently Engert and Chef Morales presented a food and beer pairing seminar for the Smithsonian Associates, the prestigious museum-based continuing education program in the nation. Engert and Rustico have been feature is USA Today, Food Arts, The Washington Post, Beer Advocate, All about Beer, Draft and Mid-Atlantic Brewing News. Engert’s years of knowledge and passion for beer have led him to be a success in beer pairing.
While Engert amazes your taste buds, the Trickster Bartenders and Club DJ will dazzle your eys and ears throughout the evening.
