ISES
DC was hosted by the completely refurbished
Fairfax at Embassy Row Hotel on February
19th. Guests enjoyed cocktails
in the “Cyber Lounge” that
was planned by Program VP Amy Guthridge
and Director Jennifer Fontine. Music
with a Euro beat, cosmic up-lighting
by John Farr Lighting and foliages by
Plants Alive set the stage for the evening’s
fun. A plasma screen also delighted
guests with a series of pictures from
recent ISES meetings and also reminded
guests of upcoming events, including
the Regional Education Conference and
Capital Awards Gala. Laptops with
internet access introduced members to
the new ISES Linked-In page, a new and
exciting communication tool for members. Click

Inside the ballroom, high and low tables
and chairs were sponsored by Cort Event
Furnishings and dinnerware by Essential
Party Rentals. Most grand however,
was a dinner entry that guests were treated
to, which included the Jockey Club’s
famous Pan Seared Jumbo Lump Crab Cake,
asparagus and potatoes.
Dinner at the Fairfax was indeed a delight! As
an added benefit, ISES members and guests
were captivated by Jeremy Epstein, a Web
2.0 expert, who presented ideas about how
social media tools are the next marketing
initiative for companies, individuals and
friends. Podcasting was sponsored
by Entertainment Exchange and may be the
most listened-to and sought-after podcast
yet by members. If you missed this
meeting, click here to
