To
eat or not to eat…there is no
question you’ll want to join us
at the Harman Center for the Arts for
ISES DC’s October Luncheon on Tuesday,
October 6. The Harman Center for the
Arts is a 21st-century performing arts
center and expanded stage for the Shakespeare
Theatre Company and Washington's performing
arts community featuring truly special
event space. The new theatre, designed
to address The Shakespeare Theatre's
expanded programming mission, will allow
for a wide variety of staging configurations-proscenium,
thrust, semi-arena or bare-as well as
for the presentation of dance and music
events. Acoustically, the space has been
rendered for the spoken word, and also
can be easily adapted for chamber music
as well as live, amplified or recorded
music.
Click here to check it out.
During lunch, you’ll hear from both
a planner and a vendor’s perspective
about successful partnering strategies
for financially effective gala events for
non-profits! Panelists include Ed
Zakreski, Director of Development for The
Shakespeare Theatre Company and Diana Mayhew,
President of the National Cherry Blossom
Festival. More details to come…
