Luncheon Recap
By Brenna Kennedy, Andy Kushner Entertainment

To eat or not to eat…that was the question for ISES DC members who attended the luncheon gathering at the Harmon Center for the Arts this past October. And of course the answer was to eat! It was a lovely afternoon for members to catch up and take a quick tour of the newly renovated center. Signs of the fall season were strewn throughout the lovely orange and yellow decorations provided by Perfect Settings and Tierra Floral Design. Occasions Catering served a delectable 2 course meal while members listened to a venue, planner and vendor’s perspective about successful partnering strategies for financially effective gala events for non-profits by panelists: Ed Zakreski, Director of Development for The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Diana Mayhew, President of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Eric Michael, Owner of Occasions Caterers. The panel was moderated by Carol Nissenson, NOW THIS! After learning how to combine efforts to create a successful event, members left spirits lifted with a cup of hot coffee to go along with some delicious chocolate fall treats. A special thanks to Entertainment Exchange for providing the pod cast for the Panel, to Kristen Wienold, Event Digital Photography for the lovely slideshow and to photographer Michael Bonfigli for capturing yet another successful sold out event for ISES DC. And last but not least to our volunteers who generously lent their time to making sure the luncheon went off without a hitch.
